A new name emerges as a Longhorn target

Orangebloods.com With the overwhelming majority of its 2007 recruiting class already filled up, the Texas coaching staff has officially switched over to cherry-picking mode. The Longhorns are likely to add only a few more names to their current crop of 19 commitments, and the names that are on the radar are the bluest of blue-chips.
One prospect that certainly fits that bill and is on the radar is Orlando (FL) Edgewater standout Lorenzo Edwards, and the Rivals100 member has been in touch with a member of the Texas staff.
Edwards is a playmaker extraordinaire that can line up at either safety or linebacker, and he's keeping all of his options open at this point.
The 6-foot-2, 217-pounder is holding offers from schools like Clemson, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska and Notre Dame, among others, and he said all schools have a fighting chance at this early stage.
