The Tale of Two Quarterbacks
Last week, the Trojans took an unusual path down the recruiting trail.
In a rare move, USC had commitments from two different quarterbacks within the span of 24 hours. Aaron Corp of Orange Lutheran and Samson Szakacsy of Camarillo both headline a banner year for quarterbacks in California. Two quarterbacks, two different styles.
Labeled as a dual-threat quarterback, Corp rushed for 600 yards last year out of the Lancers' veer option attack. His running style is deliberate, and it's important to note that Corp is not a scrambling quarterback. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound All-CIF selection is mobile by design and does not accumulate many rushing yards off of broken plays.
