Aldrich back home; Will be in Lawrence in May
Having spent 15 days in Germany to participate in the Albert Switzer, five-star prospect Cole Aldrich is glad to be back home in the United States. Jayhawk Slant spoke to the No. 9 player in the class of 2007 and has a complete breakdown of his trip. Aside from playing six games in the tournament, Aldrich and his teammates spent a few nights out on the town and enjoyed quite a few sites.
Aldrich, the 6-foot-11, 250-pound center from Bloomington (MN) Jefferson High School indicated that there were several adjustments to make in terms of the international style of play. From the moment the games began, Aldrich knew that he would have to make several adjustments on the court.
Now that Aldrich, the No. 2 ranked center in the class of 2007, is back in the United States, he is looking forward to spending the rest of the spring and summer traveling with the Minnesota Magic.
"I will be going to a local tournament this weekend with the Minnesota Magic," he said. "After that, I will be in Lawrence for the Jayhawk Invitational."
