Kingwood Classic report: 2007 wings
The Dallas Mustangs feature one of the top wing players in the nation in Anthony Randolph and he did not disappoint in the Kingwood Classic. Randolph turned an ankle early in the Mustangs' opening game, but continued to compete and play at a high level despite being visibly hobbled.
Randolph, who plays for Woodrow Wilson High in Dallas, possesses the combination of great length and athleticism that college programs covet and adds a shooting touch and the ability to put the ball on the floor that separates him from other wings players nationally.
The 6-foot-9, 195-pound wing drew college coaches in droves every time he took the court over the weekend. The list of programs recruiting Randolph spans from coast to coast and includes the past two national champions. The Texas Longhorns are hot on the trail of Randolph and the interest is mutual.
