A Horn at heart
When the Longhorns picked up a commitment from Tray Allen last week, it was pretty apparent to anyone that follows recruiting that Texas had picked up a big-time score. Allen, regarded as one of the top handful of offensive line prospects in the entire nation, could have had his pick of just about any school in the country. And early on, it looked like Texas might be left on the outside looking in.
Allen attended UT's first junior day in late February but returned home uncommitted. When five other o-line pledges added their names to the Texas commit list, it looked like the Horns were set to move on without the highest-rated lineman in the state. And even worse in the minds of Longhorn fans was the idea that Allen would likely wind up at either Oklahoma or Texas A&M.
