Richland Northeast linebacker Rodney Paulk was the first commitment of South Carolina's 2006 recruiting class. He committed on July 1 and never looked back. Paulk is strong - he has a 340-pound bench and 510-pound squat - and a defensive playmaker - 175 tackles, including 24 for a loss.
