Two big official visitors for Oregon
The big recruiting news of the week is that Oregon firmed up two big official visits for this Saturday's opening game with Nicholls. Verbal commit cornerback Arrion Springs is flying in from Texas, and Raleigh, North Carolina slot receiver/running Braxton Berrios is taking advantage of his high school team's Thursday night game by flying to Eugene for an official on Friday. Both are four-star prospects.
Berrios has four boxes of recruiting letters. Kentucky sent him 134 in one day. The 5-9, 181-lb. TAZR prospect dazzled scouts at The Opening this July with the fifth highest SPARQ score in a field of the nation's best recruits, turning in a 4.52 40, the top time in the shuttle at 3.81, and a vertical leap of 40 inches.
