Hogs wrap winter training cycle
As spring practice arrives on March 10, the Arkansas Razorbacks will wrap up their eighth week of the winter training cycle, and new strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert has found out a great deal about his new pupils.
Herbert used the first week to evaluate each player to "get a good understanding of where we need to go." Arkansas will wrap it all up on Friday and start spring ball on Sunday. Here's a rundown of the progress several players have made this winter.
Junior College midterm enrollees
"They've all four been great additions. I definitely see them as contributors moving forward," Herbert said. "Right out of the gate, they were guys that adapted quickly to the environment. They seemed very comfortable with their new teammates, and they definitely showed up very hungry and ready to attack whatever was in front of them."
Junior Linebacker Myke Tavarres
"They guy physically is as talented a guy athletically - some of the things he's done in the weight room as talented a guy as I've seen. He runs extremely well. Strong and explosive. He loves to work."
Junior Safety Tiquention Coleman
