So far it has been tough going for Mississippi State in the Maui Invitational.
The thin Bulldogs have been outscored 184-111 in their first two outings of the tournament but hope to turn things around today against Texas at 1:30 p.m.
Like MSU, the Longhorns have also dropped their first two games in Hawaii, falling to USC 59-53 in overtime on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs have faced Texas seven times on the hardwood with the Longhorns holding a 4-3 edge. Texas is a perfect 3-0 on a neutral court including a 81-77 loss in the 1999 Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic in Honolulu.
The Longhorns have also won three straight in the series which dates back to 1961. Texas' last victory came in the 2002 NCAA Tournament when the Longhorns downed State 68-64 in Dallas.
