Out Evaluating
For the first time since the recruiting Evaluation Period began on Sept. 1, Auburn will have several coaches scattered throughout the Southeast on a Friday night scouting commitments and targets.
Colleges are allowed 42 evaluation visits during the period that runs through the third week in November. No more than seven coaches can be out at a time.
Offensive line coach Jeff Grimes will be in Delray Beach, Fla. tonight watching American Heritage three-star lineman Roderick Johnson and five-star running back Greg Bryant, Jr.
Johnson was previously committed to Florida, but has opened his recruitment back up. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder currently has high interest in Florida State, but is also considering Auburn. Johnson plays tackle, but is athletic enough to play guard as well.
Bryant, the No. 2 running back prospect, has been high on Auburn since a visit in the summer and continues to be. The Tigers are in his top three along with Georgia and South Carolina.
Tight ends/special teams coach Jay Boulware will attempt to see two Auburn commitments tonight...
