NOTEBOOK: Plot thickening at right tackle?
AUBURN -- Patrick Miller's short stint during the Tigers' win against Louisiana-Monroe left a strong impressed on his position coach.
The redshirt freshman now apparently has a chance to play again this weekend against LSU.
Assistant coach Jeff Grimes stopped short of saying the job at right tackle truly is open for competition - true freshman Avery Young has started the Tigers' first three games there - but it's clear that Miller is making a push.
"We've really tried to say since we started the season that no job is necessarily guaranteed from one game to the next," Grimes said Wednesday night. "There are a couple of guys in particular that are pushing for more playing time and Pat is one of them. I have been known to change lineups at various times during the year. Sometimes (in) fame four or five a young guy will come on. Sometimes it's even later in the season."
