Small step for defense, big step for leadership

Peegs.com Holding an opponent under 20 points is commonplace for some programs but not the case recently at Indiana. So giving up 17 in a seven point win Saturday night over Indiana State at Memorial Stadium might be considered a small step for this Hoosier program that ranked last in most conference defensive categories in 2011.
"Our defense needs to be better but they forced a couple sacks, had a couple turnovers," said head coach Kevin Wilson about the season opening victory. "It's a decent start and would like those guys to continue to play better."
