After visiting rivals, Johnson ready to return to Florida
The main, if not lone, drawback to gaining an early commitment from a prospect in some instances is having to worry for months on end how strong that commitment really is, how many programs will make a run at him, how hard those programs will pursuit him, and whether or not the verbal commitment will turn into a signature in early February.
Without question one of the biggest needs for Florida this recruiting cycle is along the offensive line. The Gators adding a handful of big bodied lineman this Signing Day isn't so much a want, but rather a need.
At the moment UF has public commitments from three offensive linemen. However, in the last two days, two of the three - Joshua Outlaw and now Rodrick Johnson - have told Inside the Gators that though they are committed, they haven't put an end to the recruiting process entirely.
The two have taken visits this summer and plan on taking official visits this fall.
