Bitancurt, Smith look to build on 2011

West Virginia's historic 70-33 performance in the Orange Bowl will be the game that most people talk about when reflecting on the 2011 campaign, but if it wasn't for what happened on the final play of the game before that contest might not have ever taken place.
That play was Tyler Bitancurt's 28-yard field goal as time expired that propelled the Mountaineers to a 30-27 victory over South Florida and clinched a share of the Big East Championship. And the moment only further proved the importance of sound execution on special teams and its impact on college football games.
