Brooks Won't Let Delay Get Him Down

On February 1 of this year Daniel Brooks, the three-star athlete who spent his senior year at Port Lavaca (Texas) Calhoun ended all the questions surrounding his recruitment and if he would spend the next four years in Norman or elsewhere when he signed his name on the dotted line to play for the Sooners.
A month after making a life changing decision the 5-foot-10 and 170-pound Brooks suffered a major knee injury long jumping during a track meet. Turns out the injury was actually worse than what was originally reported of just a torn ACL so his rehab will actually take longer for him to get back to 100-percent.
"With my knee I tore my ACL, LCL, I bruised my MCL and I tore my hamstring. So mine is going to take a little bit longer to get the strength back so I will still be rehabbing," Brooks said about when he gets to Norman.
