Shaquille Powell is labeled an all-purpose back in the Rivals.com player database and that's a good description of what he does on the football field. The Nevada runner is one of Duke's most recent commitments and the Blue Devils struck gold with just more than a month before Signing Day.

Recruiting usually quiets down a bit for a week or so over Christmas but before that lull the Blue Devils made some major noise, earning a verbal commitment from Powell, a 5-foot-9, 195-pound back from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman.
