The Army game, in a nutshell
Vanderbilt cruised to a 44-21 over Army on Saturday, improving to 4-3 overall. VandySports.com's Jesse Johnson and Chris Lee were there to cover it, and give you all you need to know about Saturday's game in our weekly "game in a nutshell" feature.
Turning point: The Commodores played with a comfortable lead most of the night mostly because of back-to-back plays early in the first quarter. Leading 7-0, Tim Fugger jumped on an Army fumble at the Black Knight 43, and on the next snap, Jordan Rodgers hit Chris Boyd with a beautiful throw down the left sideline.
Carey Spear missed the extra point, but VU led 13-0 and Army never got closer than seven the rest of the evening.
