Bowles picks Vols
It's fitting that Drae Bowles would end up committing to Tennessee. After all, they were the first team to target Bowles in the recruiting process, a little over a year ago when recruiting coordinator Terry Joseph walked into Jackson Christian School just to check in with then new head coach Matt Underwood.
That's where first spotted both Bowles, and the potential that has the Jackson, Tenn. native ranked as the No. 109 prospect in the nation this year. For Bowles, it meant everything that Tennessee was in with him from the beginning.
"I just felt like it was the best decision for me and my family. Tennessee's been with me from day one. They offered me my sophomore year and others didn't offer me until my junior year. I just felt like part of the family when I went up there to visit. They just showed me nothing but love," Bowles said.
