Penn State adds a linebacker
Penn State picked up their second verbal commitment of the Class of 2012 on Friday.
It was a big one, and there's no debating that.
Camren Williams, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker from West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial committed to Penn State on Friday.
Williams had received offers from Boston College, UConn, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest, but his choice seems to have been relatively simple.
The junior linebacker was at Penn State on Friday and plans on staying at the school through Saturday. He confirmed he had committed while he was hanging out with sophomore linebacker Khairi Fortt, also from the Northeast.
"Yeah, I did," Williams said, indicating he would be available to comment more extensively on Saturday.
Warren (Ohio) Howland offensive tackle Anthony Stanko was the first prospect to commit to the Nittany Lions.
Williams had narrowed his list to Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State and Wake Forest, so he was clearly leaning towards an early decision going into the weekend.
