Sooners try to Change Score in Michigan
The last time Oklahoma went to Michigan in search of top flight defensive talent, they were busy pursuing current Pittsburgh Steeler star, and eventual Michigan signing, Lamar Woodley. The Sooners certainly hope that Royce Jenkins-Stone can be that same type of impact player though by extending a scholarship offer on Tuesday afternoon they hope he'll do it in a different college locale than the NFL Pro Bowler.
As is often the case with Oklahoma's out of state recruitment, they wasted little time getting an offer on the table after seeing the film. So little time that Jenkins-Stone had hardly any contact with the Sooners prior to his offer being extended.
"I heard from them one time before when coach (Tom) Wilcher told me they were starting to get interested," Jenkins-Stone said. "Coach Wilcher had called them and I talked to him for a few minutes and had a little conversation and I got offered today."
