K-State taking on troubling personality
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Coaches will tell you that each team has its own personality. Last year, the Kansas State Wildcats were ferocious. TV commentator Mitch Holthus perfectly labeled them Dobermans. They fought. They scrapped. And if needed, they'd stick an elbow in your face. Those traits fueled K-State's run to the Elite Eight. In turn, that run fueled K-State's standing as a preseason pick for the Final Four. The Wildcats entered the season ranked third in the nation.
