Shooting woes continue for Hoyas
January 12, 2010 - Going into Georgetown's game against Pitt last night, the Hoyas had not shot well recently, having completed only 18.2%, 23.5% and 29.4% of three point shots in BIG EAST league losses to Notre Dame, St. Johns and West Virginia respectively.
With a group frontcourt approach - the team's coach, John Thompson III has labeled his forwards and centers 'The Committee' - these Hoyas are clearly guard driven, and three point shooting is a central component of their attack.
That three point shooting futility continued against the Panthers, with the Hoyas going 5-20 (25%) from three point land, and falling 72-57 at the Verizon Center. Georgetown is now 12-5 overall, 1-4 in conference, while Pitt stands 16-1,4-0.
