Mississippi State enters tonight's matchup with Troy with an undefeated 3-0 record to begin the season.
But each of the Bulldogs wins have been a battle coming down to 10 points or less. MSU hopes to keep its winning streak intact when they tipoff against the Trojans at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs have never lost to Troy in seven meetings on the hardwood however it did take overtime to earn their last victory. State prevailed 88-77 against the Trojans in a Dec. 10 2005 outing. They also hold a 68-14 record against teams from the Sun Belt Conference.
The Bulldogs come into the game shooting 42.8-percent and averaging 77.7 points per game. Mississippi State is also knocking down 38.9-percent of its shots from the outside and 69.9-percent from the free throw line. They have also outrebounded their opponents by four and limited them to 40.8-percent shooting and 71.7 points a contest.
