Finch Even Excites Future Teammates
As the career of Oklahoma freshmen Roy Finch began with a bang Saturday in front of 85,000-plus Sooner fans perhaps there was no one more excited than Sioux Falls (S.D.) Washington blocker Derek Farniok.
Farniok, who made the unofficial visit to Norman with his mother and stepfather, raved when asked about the possibility of blocking for the quick, shifty running back that brought memories of Quentin Griffin to Owen Field Saturday night.
"The trip was good the travel wasn't that bad. I've slept the whole way," said Farniok, while on the 12-hour drive home to Sioux Falls, S.D.
"I met up with the coaches for a little bit before the game. I was able to talk with coach James Patton and coach Bob Stoops before they had to go out on the field then I spent the rest of my time with Dylan Dismuke and Jordan Phillips."
