Back and forth career for Bonner
Wade Bonner is in his fourth season at Mississippi State and is at his third position during that span.
But the 5-foot-10, 200-pound junior is starting to settle in at safety after stints at cornerback and running back early on in his Bulldog career.
Bonner made the move to safety in the spring of 2009 shortly after the arrival of Dan Mullen.
"I asked Coach Mullen what he wanted me to play," Bonner said. "I just want to win and he said he needed depth at safety so that's where I went. I just love football so it doesn't even matter. There is nothing like having the ball in your hands but I'm a team player and if I get some picks I will still have the ball in my hands."
Bonner spent his first season at MSU working at cornerback in 2007 and worked at running back and kick returner as a redshirt freshman the following year.
