Working in obscurity
For a long time, the Missouri football program was referred to as a "sleeping giant." This year, the Show-Me State has a basketball prospect that might be most accurately described as a giant sleeper.
Scott County Central forward Otto Porter made a huge jump into the Rivals100 last week at No. 93. But it seems people are slow catching on to the 6-foot-8 Porter.
A big reason for that is what Porter is doing this summer. Rather than touring the country with an AAU program, playing at national showcase tournaments that attract college coaches in droves, Porter has decided to spend his summer with his high school team, building toward a second straight state title.
