Spring Rewind: Re-ranking the early entries
During the last recruiting cycle, on the way to signing the No. 2 rated class in the nation, the University of Florida reeled in yet another impressive group of prospects.
In order to get a jump start on their college career, 11 of those young men enrolled early and participated in spring practice.
Over the 15 days of spring practice GBN staff members Zachary Abolverdi, Thomas GoldKamp and Keith Niebuhr were able to evaluate the 'new guys'. Today the three of them re-ranked those 11 players based solely on how they performed over those 15 practices.
It doesn't take into consideration what they accomplished in high school or what they may do in the future.
Each member submitted their list of the early entry signees in order from 1 to 11, then points are awarded on a sliding scale: 1st place vote = 11 points, 2nd place = 10 points, etc... (Total points and 1st place votes in parenthesis).
