Who are these guys?
Defensive tackle is often the most anonymous position on a football field. Statistics don't tell the story for the men in the middle of the line, the space-eaters. A tackle can average a tackle a game, can go all season without sacking a quarterback, but can have done his job to perfection.
But at Missouri, the Tigers' defensive tackles may be taking that anonymity to new levels.
"I feel like everybody from Dominique, Terrell," defensive end Aldon Smith says before pausing. "Ummm, what's his name?"
Such is the story on the Tiger defensive line. Two years ago, Mizzou lost first-round pick Ziggy Hood. This spring, they are adjusting to playing without multi-year starter Jaron Baston. Dominique Hamilton is an established starter. Beyond that, well, who are those guys?
