Crosby quarterback (Crosby, Texas) Dominic Merka doubled his list of scholarship offers this week when Utah safeties coach Morgan Scalley extended the verbal offer to the Houston prospect. Due to NCAA restrictions on recruiting contact at this time of the year however, the phone call to Scalley had to come through Crosby head coach Kevin Flanigan before the verbal could be extended.
