TULSA, Okla. - Southern Miss got out of the gate early and ran away from UAB in a 58-44 win over the Blazers in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament. Angelo Johnson poured in a game high 17 while Gary Flowers notched his second double-double in as many games with 14 points and 11 rebounds. But, the story of the game was the Eagle defense who held UAB to a season low point total.
