Auburn hosted nearly a handful of recruits Saturday including a rising linebacker from Georgia in Columbia's Demarcus Sherod.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Sherod from Decatur, visited the Plains for the first time.

The Tigers apparently made a good first impression.

"It was great," said Sherod, who claims a 4.7-second 40-yard dash. "I enjoyed everything. Everything was great."
