Collins ready for final home game against MU
With each passing day, Sherron Collins inches one-step closer to senior night, which means his career as a member of the University of Kansas men's basketball program is nearing its final run. On Monday night, Collins, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound guard from Chicago, Ill., will battle the Missouri Tigers for the final time in Allen Fieldhouse. With a 53 game home court winning streak, and having never lost to MU at home, Collins isn't about to see either streak end on his watch.
Throughout his almost four year career at Kansas, Collins has tasted nothing but success against Missouri. As a freshman, KU swept the season series against the Tigers. In the first meeting between the two, which took place inside the comfy confines of Allen Fieldhouse, Collins erupted for 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-7 behind the arc.
