Auburn comeback falls short

AuburnSports.com DeWayne Reed's potential game-tying 3-pointer came up just a little short. And so did a furious Auburn second-half comeback.
Reed scored a game-high 19 points including 11 after halftime but his 3-pointer with 12 seconds left bounced off the rim as No. 2 Kentucky held on for a 72-67 win over the Tigers Saturday afternoon at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum.
"It was a great look," Reed said. "I just had to put it in, but unfortunately it didn't go."
