Thompson likes what he sees at A&M junior day

AggieYell.com With the popularity of the spread offense, high school coaches across the state of Texas aren't just using it to throw the ball 50 or 60 times a game. They've also realized that a running quarterback who can throw it even a little bit can be just as dangerous as college coaches like Urban Meyer and Rich Rodriguez have proven.
This often means that a team's best athlete is being asked to play quarterback instead of a more traditional role at receiver or running back, or even switch between multiple positions over the course of a season.
San Antonio Stevens junior Mykkele Thompson began the 2009 season at quarterback and proved to be one of the top dual-threat athletes in the city. However, he moved to receiver at the request of his coaches and helped his team into the first round of the Class 5A playoffs.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Thompson has received interest from Kansas State, Houston, Texas A&M, SMU, Alabama, Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Arizona, Utah, Texas and Iowa State.
