Hurd keeping his options open
Notre Dame has put together a solid 2010 recruiting class so far. However, with the uncertainty surrounding the Irish following the dismissal of head coach Charlie Weis, many of their commitments are having to keep their options open.
One of those prospects is Fort Bend (TX) Marshall cornerback Toney Hurd Jr. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound defender committed to the Irish a little over a month ago, but has seen major changes in South Bend since that time. He says that other schools have kept in communication, with a local program making a visit to both his school and home.
