Texas-Pan American Preview
Mississippi State will conclude a four game homestand tonight taking on Texas-Pan American at 7 p.m. before heading to the Lone Star State themselves to participate in the South Padre Island Invitational.
The Bulldogs have won their last two games bouncing back from an opening night loss to Rider. MSU defeated Bethune-Cookman 67-51 Saturday night to improve to 2-1.
Tonight's game will be just the second time the Bulldogs have faced Texas-Pan Am with their lone meeting coming with a 90-60 win in 1997 at Humphrey Coliseum. State sports a 3-0 record against teams from the Great West Conference.
The Bulldogs enter tonight's game averaging 74.3 points and shooting 43.3 percent on the year. Mississippi State has also knocked down 38.9-percent from the outside and 70.9-percent from the charity stripe. They are also outrebounding their opponents by seven as well as holding them to 68.7 points per game.
