Bruins off to Pullman
Pullman has been to the Bruins what Chinatown is to Jake Gittes. For the uninitiated, Gittes was the former cop, turned private investigator in the classic 1974 film Chinatown. Things always went wrong for Gittes in Chinatown and for some odd reason, the small eastern Washington hamlet has been very tough on UCLA over the years. Now that UCLA finally reached win number four, to reach number five, the Bruins can't take the Cougars lightly. History has proven that.
The Bruins closed the week of practice on a high note with energy and now all that's left is the game. UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel seemed to be fired up about the forthcoming opportunity to continue the good tidings that November, so far, has brought.
Neuheisel: "I'm excited about getting a chance to play again. I'm eager to go talk about this team and this trip to Pullman and what is expected of the guys who are fortunate enough to be on the plane and get to represent this school and keep this month going in a positive direction."
