Fresh after USC fell to Oregon, Damian Williams stood alone in the visiting locker room, and winced with every move.

He refused to talk about how he was feeling physically, a rarity for one of USC's nicest, and most thoughtful players.

"I was hurting. Oh man, I was hurting," Williams said Thursday. "That's why I didn't want to talk about it. Whatever I said wouldn't have been good.

"Yeah, I was hurting."
