Carter coming into his own
Rain or shine, home or away -- you can always find a No. 45 jersey in the stands.
Michael Carter has not missed an Auburn game since his son, Antoine Carter, signed with the Tigers back in 2007. That includes the first three games this year when Antoine was out with a knee injury.
"It means a lot to me because it means he cares about me," the younger Carter said. "It affects the other players too, knowing that he's up there supporting them also even though I'm not out there.
"It's great. It's great to have a dad like that."
What the elder Carter has seen the last couple of weeks is his son coming into his own as a football player. After recovering from offseason knee surgery, Carter has returned to start the last two games including a four tackle and one tackle-for-loss performance against LSU.
