When freshman kicker Nick Tausch takes the field, he doesn't hear the fans and he doesn't see them. They have no bearing on his success or failure. That concentration has helped Tausch convert 10-of-11 field goals and all but one of his 16 extra points to become one of Notre Dame's more pleasant surprises of the first half of the '09 season.
